MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT
Dear Friends,
The Sri Lanka Thailand Business council was inactive during the past few months, due to various reasons for which we sincerely apologies to all members.
New office bearers for 2023/2024 were elected at the Annual General meeting held on February 9th 2023.
we have planned the following activities for the remainder of the year
1. Investors’ forum to attract investments from Thailand and promote investments
by Sri Lankan companies in Thailand.
2. B2B Meetings to promote Trade and Investments between the two countries
3. Technology Sharing Forums

A LOOK AT THINGS TO COME
1. Investors’ Forum
A Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between the two countries is to be signed in October 2023.
This will pave the way to attract investments from Thai companies to Sri Lanka and for Sri Lankan Companies to invest in Thailand
The investors’ forum will be organized with the support of the BOI Sri Lanka

2. B2B Meetings
These meetings will focus on promoting trade and investments between Sri Lanka and Thailand.
About 10 key Thai companies from different sectors represented by their CEO/Chairmen will be participating at these meetings. This will facilitate key decisions to be taken at the B2B Meetings.

3.Technology Sharing Forums
At present there is a huge demand in Sri Lanka for commodities like Corn, Green Gram, Soya and Kurrakan.
Agricultural companies from Thailand have agreed to help us grow these commodities on a large scale in Sri Lanka and to share the relevanttechnologies with us.
